Join us for a conversation with Naivasha Dean, the Vice President of editorial at HBO Max. In her current role, Naivasha manages the overall editorial vision for the HBO and HBO Max domestic services and oversees a team of strategists, writers and campaign producers to execute an experience for subscribers in-app that delights viewers through engagement and discovery. Her department is responsible for creating targeted and curated content experiences across consumer touch points, and for developing merchandising plans for licensed, acquired, and original content in-app and across owned channels, with the goals of increasing engagement and extending lifetimes via an agile, data science-validated approach. During the conversation Naivasha will discuss her role, department, and evolution of HBO Max. The conversation will be followed by a Q&A featuring Senior Recruiters from WarnerMedia, Daisy Richemond and Nichole Cabalza.

HBO Max is WarnerMedia’s direct-to-consumer platform, offering best-in-class quality entertainment. HBO Max features the greatest array of storytelling for all audiences from the iconic brands of HBO, Warner Bros., DC, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Turner Classic Movies and much more. The streaming platform initially launched in the United States in May 2020. This year, HBO Max is scheduled to be in an additional 60 markets, launching in Latin America in June and followed by upgrades of HBO-branded streaming services in Europe.

The Growth Marketing team at HBO Max focuses on growing and optimizing digital marketing and customer acquisition programs to drive new subscriber growth across WarnerMedia’s HBO Max Streaming Platform.

Naivasha Dean is the Vice President of Editorial at HBO Max. Prior to joining WarnerMedia, Naivasha worked at Redbox as Director of Editorial Strategy, where she led all aspects of curation and merchandising for the digital content storefront. At Fullscreen Media, she managed the Editorial, Content Operations, and Program Planning functions for the SVOD service. At Hulu, she worked on the Editorial and Ad Operations teams and was part of the effort to launch Hulu Plus. Naivasha also did one year as an AmeriCorps/Jesuit Volunteer working inside and outside of prisons advocating for criminal justice reform.
Daisy Richemond is a graduate of Quinnipiac University where she holds a degree in broadcast journalism. Daisy is a Sr. Recruiter at WarnerMedia. In this role, Daisy is responsible for collaborating with client groups to create, develop, and execute employment search strategies. As a business partner to her clients, Daisy identifies top talent, develops sourcing strategies, and ensures that qualified and diverse applicant pools are identified for the organization. Before joining WarnerMedia, Daisy worked with the Center for Comprehensive Care at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital where she served as an administrative assistant and finance coordinator for the HIV/AIDS clinic.
Nichole Cabalza is part of the WarnerMedia Talent Acquisition team, specializing in finding talent under creative and content verticals to grow out HBO Max. Former Sr. Recruiter at Lionsgate and Starz. I am passionate about helping people find jobs and finding the right talent that will help leaders reach/exceed their company’s goals.
